It’s time to play ball! Fans are rejoicing this week for the return of baseball season as they celebrate Opening Day for Major and Minor League Baseball. Our team at Gold Country Wildlife Rescue is warming up for the season…baby season that is, and we need your help!
The 2022 Baby Season Spring Training is in full swing, meaning thousands of baby songbirds, opossums, owls, squirrels, foxes, raccoons and more will be arriving at our intake facility. Spring is the height of wildlife baby season and each day more people find and rescue baby wildlife that are sick, injured, or orphaned. Our technicians and volunteers work around the clock to provide care to each patient and feed each little mouth multiple times a day. It requires a lot of time and commitment to care for wildlife babies 7 days a week, for months at a time, before these babies are old enough to be released on their own.
Step up to the plate and donate today! Join our team and help us reach our goal of $25,000 to continue our work supporting orphaned and injured wildlife during Baby Season. Learn more and make a donation at https://gofund.me/22dc60d0.
Today we feature a new arrival to our team with their very own baseball card. Player #22-371 came to us orphaned on the side of the road after its mother was struck by a car. Our technicians examined the little opossum and gave a good bill of health before starting it on a special formula.
