Bear Cub University Welcomes New Bears

Breaking News! Bear Cub University (BCU) announced the arrival of three new students, bringing their student population to now six bear cubs! The California Department of Fish and Wildlife brought these additional bear cubs – two female siblings from the Tahoe area, and a male from Mono County.

Help us welcome new BCU students ID #21-5020 “Thelma (green ear tag), ID#21-5019 “Louise” (no tag), and #21-5021 “Bodie” (yellow ear tag).

The first time they were all together was after they arrived at Bear Cub University. The bear cubs are orphans and are approximately 10-11 months old, the same as our first three cubs from the fires.

These three are blending as a new class and will continue their learning at Bear Cub University!
