Gold Country Wildlife Rescue is thrilled and deeply grateful to announce a generous $30,000 grant from The Doris Day Animal Foundation in support of our medical care and supplies fund.
Each year, our nonprofit organization provides life-saving care to thousands of sick, orphaned, and injured wild animals from throughout Northern California. From tiny hummingbirds to black bear cubs, every patient that comes through our doors receives expert treatment and compassionate care thanks to the dedication of our team—and the generosity of our supporters.
This vital funding from The Doris Day Animal Foundation will help ensure we can continue to meet the growing medical needs of the animals in our care. From specialized medications and diagnostic testing to wound care supplies and species-specific nutrition, this grant helps us provide the highest standard of care to every animal that relies on us.
As a nonprofit that operates entirely through private donations and grants—with no regular state or federal funding—this kind of support is not only meaningful, it’s essential. We simply couldn’t continue our mission without it.
On behalf of the approximately 4000 wild patients we treat each year, we extend our heartfelt thanks to The Doris Day Animal Foundation for standing with us and supporting the future of wildlife rehabilitation.
