Welcome to Gold Country Wildlife Rescue
Gold Country Wildlife Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife. Our trained volunteer rehabilitators are licensed by California Departments of Fish & Game to care for and release native wildlife. Each year, our group provides care for hundreds of birds and mammals. We do not get financial assistance from state or federal agencies. We depend on memberships, donations, and fundraisers to continue.

The main cause of habitat destruction is the rise of human population. Over long periods of time habitats naturally change. This extended amount of time allows for species to adapt to the changes. The current habitat loss, caused by human does not give species a chance to adjust, thus causing endangerment and extinction.
